My video size is very large, how do i lower this?

I made a 4.39 min long video but it's 607 MB big, this takes over 100 min to upload and youtube, how can i make the size smaller, i saved it as .wmv, is there a possibility that i can reduce the kbps of the video, cause it's 24000kbps?
