Problem with importing video into flash?

Hi, basically when every i import a wmv movie which is 3.90MB to flash the file size increases.When i check the file in he flash library it is about 56MB and when i publish the movie to a swf file the total size of that is 54MB, i I have no idea what this problem is can you please tell me how i can fix this.
