Fashion Emergency!! Please help!!?

Alright, So my sister, who has a totally amazing voice, has decided to try out for American Idol next month. She's been practicing, already has her song picked out...there is just one minor deatail she hasn't worke out yet. What to wear! Another family member has actually made her a cute t-shirt that has her childrens handprints on it and read "My mon is my idol" It is really cute. NOt to mention, the rest of the family signed the back to show our support. Anyways, she likes it, rather she loves it...it's meaning, the fact that it symolizes her family and their love and support. She wants to wear it to the audition, not to mention her kids want to see their handprints on tv. lol HOwever, some of the people she mentioned it to say it's tacky and that it's a good way to draw the wrong kind of attention. They think it may harm her chances of being thought of seriously. She however thinks that it will merely show her love for her children and family and the fact she is proud of them supporting her.What do you guys think. Please be COMPLETELY honest!
