I have a video under MSWMM and I need to convert it to WMV how do I do that ?

I need to upload it to youtube but since I edited it in Windows Movie Maker it wont let me saying the file is an error must convert so how do I do that ? I tried FreeMake Video Convertor but that even says file opening error ! HELP PLZ xP
