How to check the "download codecs autmoatically" box in the Options dialogue menu?

I am trying to upload a video to Windows Movie Maker that is a .wmv file. When I go to download it, it says it cannot process it because the box that says "download codecs automatically" is not checked of in the Options dialogue menu. How do I check this box/fix this probem?! Thanks xoxoxo
